Fashion Wants You To Wear  A Bustier

STORIES

BY ANNIE BROWN

Call it the Bridgerton effect,  post-Covid hedonism or yet another ’90s flashback, but lingerie as outerwear is certainly trending.

Now, you don’t have to go quite as far as Julia Fox, patron saint of the visible  G-string revival, who was photographed doing her grocery shopping quite literally in her underwear.

Luckily, there’s  a version of this trend for everyone. Slip dresses, sensuous and flattering, are an easy way in. Bustiers and corsets are a  little bolder.

“Two major trends are bringing the bustier back into the spotlight:  the post-pandemic desire to dress up and show some flesh, and Y2K and 90s nostalgia thanks to Euphoria.”
