What Two PRIMER Fashion Editors Wore On Their Wedding Day

We’re curious to see how a stylist approaches event-dressing for the biggest event of her life. So, we asked Tara Morris and Lucy Wood, stylists and PRIMER contributors, to share a few photos of the Big Day. They also told us what they wore, and what they packed for the honeymoon afterwards.

“The style was directed a lot by the venue and city setting. Although the setting was sophisticated and beautiful, we wanted the mood of the day to remain relaxed and fun which it did with lots of cheering and laughter.”

“My dress is [New Zealand designer] Emilia Wickstead from Matches Fashion. I tried it on over FaceTime with my mum while we were in lockdown. I chose to get a second dress as the dance floor was a part of the night I was really looking forward to.”

“I found my second dress from Rachel Gilbert. I knew the feather trim and swing of the dress would be perfect for a night of dancing. I also loved the opportunity to change into more embellished earrings and heels for the final portion of the night.”

“For the honeymoon, I’ve gone for relaxed, colourful summer dresses and a mixture of light tailored pants with oversized shirting that works as a swim cover up. My trusty Tevas have had a great workout, too! And a sarong has been a great lightweight cover-up.”

“We really wanted something local, and the view is unbeatable. The whole day was amazing from seeing Keenan teary at the end of the aisle to the truly spectacular speeches that took us on a roller coaster of emotions.” - Tara

“ My dress is from Antwerp-based brand Bernadette. I love a bow, so I knew this was my moment to wear something I’d never even allude to wearing in my day to day. Also, it has pockets!”

Tara and Keenan’s baby daughter, Fleur also attended, sporting a pink puff sleeve dress and pink glittery Vans.

“ Fiji was perfect as it’s only a four-hour flight.. I packed an APC basket bag, Gucci slides which Keenan gave me for an anniversary, and a one-piece swimsuit so I could go from ‘beach to bar’ by just popping on a skirt.”
