The right pair of sunglasses can be transformative; they can instantly elevate an otherwise ordinary look and make it memorable. Sometimes, they <are> the look.  (Just ask John Lennon. Or Elton John. Or Top-Gun-era Tom Cruise. Even Queen Elizabeth looked a little rock-star when she donned a pair of shades for a photo shoot with Patrick Litchfield.)

This summer, retro, tinted aviators – usually with plastic or acetate frames – are everywhere.

“Sunglasses can be tricky, but this is a style that tends to be flattering on most faces,” says Lucy. “They’re fun! They add some personality to what could be an otherwise simple outfit.”
