3 Stylists Share Their Autumn Wishlists

New season style starts here…

By Anna Saunders

With the final days of hot, sunny weather upon us, we asked three stylists and fashion editors for a glimpse at their autumn fashion wishlists for 2024.

Tara Morris, stylist
On top of the list is an oversized trench coat. I love how this oversized cut can be cinched in at the waist to create shape.

I wanted these boots last year, so, if nearly 365 days later I’m still lusting after them, it’s clear it’s time to make a purchase! Will love these poking out the bottom of my jeans to really elongate the leg.

The colour of the moment red! I’m loving this red cardigan from New Zealand brand Ruby, and the sweet vintage-inspired bow detail on the neckline.

I’m coming into my mum-of-two era, so small bags are pretty much a ‘no’. This bag is great for throwing a few nappies and other essentials into.

Acne

$1100

RUBY

$226

St. Agni

$629

Bree Macara, stylist
In light of my absolute dream designer [Dries Van Noten] stepping down at his eponymous brand, I am giving myself the luxury of purchasing a piece of Dries Van Noten history. This top is an easy win and an outfit enhancer.

I can’t live without these stirrup leggings from H&M. I’m due a fresh pair and plan to wear them all season long, once again.

I’m leaning into shoulder pads at the moment and this clever tank, says ‘shoulder pad’ without having to fiddle with any.

My credit card says no to The Row pumps of my dreams, so I have been searching for an affordable pair that offer the same mood. Found them!

H&M

$20.99

Everlane

$60

Lucy Wood, stylist
I’ve been on the hunt for new sneakers for some time now. And while I love a bright colour, this chocolate colour will act as a great neutral without being black or white.

One of my favourite dressing formulas is “fun on bottom, classic on top”. These will be the perfect transeasonal piece.

‘Tis the season of the cardigan. The cropped length and rye colour will look perfect with trusty blue denim.

A watch has been on my shopping list for a while. While the Cartier price tag isn’t on the cards, I love the vintage aesthetic of this one that will easily sit next to my usual bracelets.

Adidas

$159

La Veste

$299

CENDRÉ

$209
