Why We Love Long-Sleeve Dresses

There’s a definite cool-girl look among European influencers right now, and we’re here for it: Long sleeve dresses with tough, military-style boots.

Jessie Bush — stylish founder of @wethepeoplestyle — has pioneered the trend. Her collaboration with UK label Kitri has some delicious dresses in pink (with over-sized Peter Pan collar) and darker, more dramatic patterns that are available on The Iconic now.

“Jessie often styles her dresses with a heavy boot,” says stylist Tara Morris, who points to the Ganni boot as a popular influencer choice. “A masculine shoe gives a real edge to the femininity of a dress.”

These light, often sheer dresses are also surprisingly versatile. A full skirt looks great with a chunky knit thrown over the top, and you don’t really need accessories during the day, says Tara. “At night, add a heel and an earring for added drama.”
