3 Fashion Editors Share Their Date-Night Outfits

For Galentine’s, Valentine’s or just going out for a nice dinner

By Anna Saunders

We asked three of our favourite fashion editors and stylists to create three outfits they’d wear out this Valentine’s Day.

Lucy Wood, stylist
I love the playful nature of this Alemais dress that will bring all the fun vibes come date night. In my mind, this is a perfect piece that melds a classic structure with something a little unexpected. I’ve chosen to pair it with accessories that are timeless but bold on their own right.

With two kids under three, we are very scant on date nights right now. But there is a great, almost punk-style watering hole near us that we love to visit for a cocktail and a nibble whenever we get the chance. I’d very much like to repeat the effort in this particular ensemble.

This top is from Hagon Workroom, which is like a local version of luxury artisanal New York brand of the moment Bode (but without the luxury price-tag). I love the colour of these pants, which I can see myself wearing out and then rolling straight into bed while wearing, and these velvet mary-janes, which I wish, wish, wish I owned already.

Presumably I’m going on a dinner date so I’ll need a dress with no restrictions like this one on sale from By Malene Birger. Paired with a thong style kitten heel and an impractically small but super cute bag (because all I’ll need is my phone and lipgloss). Finished with my forever signature scent!
