Why You Should Try Leopard Print

Get it right and you’re the very definition of chic. Get it wrong and you’re the love child of Peg Bundy and Fran Drescher – or at least that’s the fear.

I’m talking about leopard print, of course, a trend that took me 28 years to pluck up the courage to try, and even then it was only a shoe.

But last summer, leopard had its very own millennial moment, in the form of The Naomi skirt by Realisation Par. You know the one: the silk midi that became an international street style sensation, worn by everyone from Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine to Pernille Teisbaek. Hell, you probably own one.

This winter, the trend continues. Zara’s doing it. So are Ganni and Faithfull, and Country Road, and Seed, and the list goes on.
